Answer
The warranty period begins on the date of delivery from amnimo. The warranty period and the warranty details differ depending on the product.
Warranty period
- Edge Gateway Indoor Version (AG10) Main Unit: 3 years
- Edge Gateway Outdoor Version (AG20) Main Unit: 1 year
- IoT Router Indoor Version (AR10) Main Unit: 3 years
- IoT Router Outdoor Version (AR20) Main Unit: 1 year
- Separately sold optional products (AC adaptor/antenna/metal fittings, etc.): 1 year
Maintenance during the warranty period
- Hardware
- amnimo will replace your hardware free of charge for any malfunctions for which you are not responsible based on the warranty conditions specified separately.

- Software installed on the gateway
- Software within the support period of the underlying Ubuntu is covered by the warranty. If the support period of the underlying Ubuntu finishes during the warranty period, by updating the firmware to the one on the underlying Ubuntu still within the support period, the warranty for your software will be continued during the initial warranty period.
- Modification files for detects found by you or our company will be provided for the latest firmware.
To solve problems experienced in operating Edge Gateway due to defects of the firmware, please understand that you need to update the firmware to the latest version fixed for the defects. - Based on the above policy, if you keep using the product, we recommend that you always update the firmware to the latest version using the DMS, etc.
(However, if you use a customized application, please note that you will need to check its compatibility with the firmware to be updated.)
- Please note that software will not be supported if the support period of its underlying Ubuntu expires.

Software installed on the gateway
- Even after the warranty period expires, no particular costs will be incurred for updating and using the latest firmware (excluding communication costs for downloading and work costs for updating, etc.).
- If the underlying Ubuntu for the firmware is within the support period, amnimo will keep providing security patches, etc. for vulnerabilities of OSS.
- If the underlying Ubuntu for the firmware is within the support period, you will be able to use the DMS service provided by amnimo. In that case, you will be able to remotely update the firmware using the DMS. (If Ubuntu is not within the support period, connectivity to the DMS service provided by amnimo will not be guaranteed.)
- Defects of the firmware will be fixed for its latest version. Firmware with versions other than the latest one will not be fixed even for known defects.
- If you keep using the product, we recommend that you always update the firmware to the latest version using the DMS, etc. and use it even after the warranty period expires. (However, if you use a customized application, please note that you will need to check its compatibility with the firmware to be updated.)
- Please note that maintenance support will not be provided to your Edge Gateway if the support period for the underlying Ubuntu for the firmware ends.
