Overview

This section explains how to back up and restore the whole system (whole OS).

Target devices

Precondition

It is recommended to have knowledge of the following item:

STEP 1 Creating a backup

Create a backup of the target device as a firmware image file (*.amf) and download it.

1. With the amfwgen command, create a firmware image.

2. Save the backup file (*.amf) locally.
   
   
3. Obtain the configuration file with the GUI.

STEP 2 Restoration

For the target device, apply the firmware image created in STEP 1.

1. By using the backup file(*.amf) downloaded in STEP 1, perform a full update of the firmware with the GUI.

2. Reflect the configuration file with the GUI.
