Virtual Private Network

VPN is a mechanism for connecting to a physically remote network using a virtual tunnel.

There are various types of VPNs.

• IPSec-VPN (Security Architecture for IP)
  A mechanism to safely establish connection by encrypting IP packets
  
  
  
• SSL-VPN
  A mechanism to safely establish connection by adopting SSL for encryption.

In the AG10/AR10 series, IPSec-VPN is adopted.
